Still struggling (nmt and hdx)

Postby rtarver » Sun Nov 01, 2009 7:10 pm

I've been struggling with NMT for some time now... actually only have 3 days left on my trial.

I have a theater pc with a few movies ripped to it. The exist on the 'E' drive. I mapped the home theater pc 'Theater' as 'theater' on the HDX... it drops to the root and can see E: and it's shared. In the plugin, I have 'theater' mapped as \\Theater\

When I launch this command:

MLNMT|NMT1~PlayFile~\\theater\E\Smile_Face\Smiley_Face.iso

the HDX goes through some screen changes, and then gives me a 'could not play file'. If I navigate there directly with the network browser, it'll play.

Here is a log from MLNMT:

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Your problem is in your network mapping name, NETWORK_SHARE/theaterE/Smile_Face/Smiley_Face.iso'

theaterE should be called theater I believe

In the network mapping section of the NMT change it to read:
Network share Network Patch
theater \\theater\E

NETWORK_SHARE/theater/Smile_Face/Smiley_Face.iso is what you want.

Selecting the theater network mapping on your NMT takes you to root of E so the E is not be required.

Thanks,

I haven't checked this profile in several weeks. Looks like I logged on shortly after you posted. I'll see if I can reproduce the previous errors, and then correct based on your comments.

Had to buy the MLNMT since my trial ran out several weeks ago.
