Why is there not more interest in this plugin?

Postby indecision » Thu Jan 29, 2009 8:12 am

It seems awfully quiet in the NetFlix forum. I would think that this would be a widely requested and highly anticipated plug-in. Are there not many folks using the watch instantly feature, or has everyone found a better solution?

I tried the watch-now via my Xbox. It was a quick and dirty test and for me the picture was AWFUL. VCR quality on a projector screen. I understand that bandwidth affects quality so maybe that accounted for it. The concept is fantastic though. Also, i think it is only 2-channel sound.

Yes only stereo sound but the beauty of the plugin is that you can download the hi-res version over night and watch it when you want to. I do this with all the watch-Now material. The Hi-res versions give you near DVD quality.

CinemarDave,

I give up. How do i get it to work? I can log in and play movies instantly on all my computers but i cant get the plugin to work correctly. In ML i can get the info on the movies but no cover art and no download or stream.

Thoughts?

PS. Indecision, Im pumped. this seems like a no brainer for a must have plugin.

Since NetFlix has switched over to forcing everyone to use Silverlight there is no way for the plugin to get the movie urls. The whole plugin will have to be reworked in order to make it work again. This will have to wait until MusicLobby is released.

Yay...new MusicLobby...it's been a long time coming. I'm placing a self-imposed moratorium on any new "help me" posts until it comes out. I hope others do the same. Even willing to donate some RedBull to the cause...

Go Dave go!

Dave, If you are smart and If you drink, you will make out well with this offer. 8)
