Ooooo I am already there in the learning :)
Cannot wait to try it

We are absolutely committed to producing an iPad and iPhone version of the MainLobby interface that 1) works with very little user customization and 2) provides a good example so that a more experienced user will be able to customize the interface to meet their requirements. Doing this right is important to us and we're working hard on this right now.

Do not waste your time trying to find flash emulators for the iPad. They simply will not work with the Mainlobby swf file.

LogMeIn Ignition for the iPad is working well for me. It allows control over a PC on the same LAN directly - without having to go through the corporate servers. Responsiveness is good, mouse emulation is a little strange but easy to adapt to. So until there's a native client - I'll give this solution two thumbs up!

Mario and Dave,

I know Dave (which I'm starting to think is superhuman) is working on iPad scenes using HTML5. While I know these will work great and I can't wait try them. I wonder what it would take to get an interface editor like we are used to or learn a new one that is similar. I'm just not very good at HTML and my darn day job and night job(kids) makes hard find time to learn it. I know its a flash problem. I was on iTunes today and both Elve and CQC have thin client apps that let you use scenes/ interfaces built using design editors. I think the iPad style machine is the future of touch panels and is going to drives sales. Creston, AMX, Savant, Control 4, etc have all released apps. I own a Command Fusion licence but it would be a daunting task to interface with Mainlobby in my opinion. Even RTI is working on an iPad app to use with the XP series processors which will hurt there remote sales but drive processor and software sales.

I cant speak for others here but I be willing to pay to licence a Mainlobby (Mobile?) client that would work with a thin client app that was iPhone/iPad compatible.
Even if it was same price( or a little more) as the current client I think it would be a hot seller and become profitable. I know it wouldn't do flash but Ive seen some nice non flash interfaces. I know you built mobile apps in the past that the platform died off, but I think Apple is here to stay.

Is there any chance of this happening or would we be better of holding Jobs hostage till he agrees to let flash run on his products?

I realize this isn't any easy task to achieve and would take considerable time(money) to do. I'm just wondering if its a possibility.
Cinemar is so much stronger in media compared to the others available, a easy to use editor for iPad/ iPhone like current one would further blow the others out of the water.

If you ever consider it let us know cause I would pre-purchase a licence to help with development cost. I'm sure others here would do the same.

I think I'll hold off on holding Jobs hostage till he agrees to let flash run, cause I don't think they let me use Cinemar to automate my prison cell.

Everyone and their dog is jumping on it due to the simple conumser acceptance/demand. The big thing about the iphone/ipad/ipod touch is they will NOT do flash. It's all HTML5 CSS3 markup language. Homeseer already has an "editor" for their iphone/ipad HSTouch program. I agree a "Editor" or "Converter" for UI design ultimately would be fantastic but I bet the first thing we will see is a "working static template" to get the ball rolling quickly. You can be sure Cinemar is taking all this very seriously being the progressive group they are.

wanna see your ipod, pad or phone do flash. go to the app store, download an app called cloudbrowse (free) and then open it and go to cinemars website. sure enough you will see the touchscreens falling in line on the home page.

Hmmm.... interesting. That still does not mean though we can load mainlobby onto the ipad/iphone though.

Any updates on when? I have some paternity leave coming in October and am planning to finally build out a UI. Unfortunately Homeseer is already there, clunky - but there.

Well I finally decided to update some toys....

The Samsung Q1 has joined the scrap heap - old technology, loud fan, small battery etc.

Nobu In wall touch screen - after blowing up its power supply for the second time I am giving up on this device. This is the 5th in wall screen I have used over the years and nothing seems to last.

Which leads me onto the Ipad. I have an in wall dock on order from Iport that looks like it should do a great job in replacing the Nobu. I have already updated the Q1 with an Ipad. In case anyone is interested, here is Mainlobby (using RDP of course) running on an Ipad :-
