Having problem using T.E.D. and X10.

Postby whmurdock » Tue Oct 07, 2008 9:44 pm

Has anyone had any luck using T.E.D. and X10. When I power up T.E.D. my X10 devices stop working. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you, Wendell

It is a known issue that TED does not play well with X10.

Does T.E.D. play well with Insteon? Maybe I should switch from X10 to Insteon.

I have Insteon (50+ devices) with TED and haven't noticed any performce issues since TED was installed. I only have 2 X10 devices and they too work fine. TED does claim it is X10 friendly.

I haven't seen any issues with Insteon. During our initial research of TED, other forums reported no issues as well.

If Insteon is also controlling X-10, then there are issues only with the x-10 devices. In my tests, the Insteon devices seem to continue to operate.
Thanks!

TED1001 worked fine with my Insteon network - at least for the 2 hours that it was running before the RDU went south.

I'm pretty sure it was just a fluke (faulty RDU). Energy Inc is sending me a new RDU, hopefully will come before the end of the week so I can get more data.
