Insteon problems

Postby SparkyD » Tue Sep 09, 2008 12:43 am

I just installed the TED hardware. I am able to get it working, but it brings my Insteon system down. It appears not to be a plugin issue, but a problem with the traffic on the powerline. I can actually see the blinking pulse from the TED transmitter on the PLM and the Insteon access points. After a couple minutes of running side by side, the MLInsteonPLM plugin loses communication with the PLM. This never happened prior to EnergyManagement. I, for one, would really like to see a HARDWIRED energy monitoring solution.

I haven't noticed any Insteon problems and we did a lot of research beforehand and couldn't find anyone else with Insteon/Ted issues. You may try moving outlets for one of the devices just to see if that makes a difference.
