Replacement Energy Monitoring device

Postby yzpmpgq » Sat Dec 06, 2014 9:54 am

I posted some issues I was having with my TED 1000 spiking out the memory on the Server PC so that it wouldn't do anything and have had no luck fixing it. That's a good excuse for me to get a new system. Does ML work with the TED PRO system and spyders? If not (or so), what does everyone recommend for energy monitoring?

The TED1000 should not be doing that and I know of several customers whose systems I've worked on that have TED1000 running with no issues. It should be looked at.

However, the current TED driver does not work with the TED Pro devices as they have implements a new API for those devices. We have another customer with one and the driver is not collecting any data. I'm scheduled to look into that next week. As soon as I get the TED Pro API document I will update the driver to support it and their spyders. If you want to upgrade to the TED Pro feel comfortable that we'll support it.

So what can I do to figure out my memory issue? I have tried uninstalling, then reinstalling the TED software. When you start the Ted service, the memory climbs steadily until it maxes out (only takes a minute). If you stop the service, the memory drops back down to normal.c

I will have to remote in and look at it myself. Did you already send me Team Viewer credentials?

Is the TED Pro supported by the Energy Management plugin? And if so, does it support the TED Spyder sub-meters?

[There is a reference to supporting TED Pro earlier in the thread]

Yes to both questions. The driver has the login in it to extract the data from the TED xml feed. But it might need to be tested in a real world scenario as I do not have that hardware here to work with.
