All downloads are now via MLInstaller. Once installed run it and go to Tools Get UPdates. Then, you will find the latest MLPowerDVD Agent listed in Drivers.

Power DVD Error

Postby Mohuska » Mon Jan 28, 2008 5:26 pm

Dave,

I installed the new Power Agent and all there works fine. When I test or click on the Cover art...

The movie mounts....PowerDVD opens....BUT I get an error code that says

Door is open or Disk is not present.

When I close the dialog box and hit PLAY on PowerDVD....The movie plays.

Help

Thanks,

Mike

sounds like a race condition. perhaps I'm launching PowerDVD too quickly and I need to insert some delay between mounting and launching. I'll add that as an option in the next release of the plugin.

Power DVD Error

Postby Mohuska » Mon Jan 28, 2008 10:39 pm

Dave,

I think I have confirmed that it is a timing issue because on nearly every attempt, Daemon tools is still trying to mount when PowerDVD starts and of course, can't find the file because it's not mounted yet.

How soon might we expect this to be resolved??

Version 3.0.8 of the PowerDVD agent is available for download. This version adds a user selectable launch delay to be inserted between the mounting of the iso file and the launching of PowerDVD. Give this a try and report your results.

I think that does it. I adjusted the amount of delay(6 sec) and I think that was enough....All of the movies mounted and played successfully!

I will keep trying it out and make sure it works 100% of the time

Thanks for the effort!!

PowerDVD 3.08

Postby Mohuska » Tue Jan 29, 2008 9:14 pm

I have used the new PowerDVD Agent 3.0.8 and want to report results.

I have set the delay time for Daemon Tools to mount at 6 sec and found after trying 23 different HD disks that the ALL mounted and played successfully!!

Nice Work!

Any idea when MLPowerDVD will be available for sale? My eval keeps expiring and I end up bugging Dave for a new key.

I finally got back to playing with PowerDVD. I just installed PowerDVD Agent 3.0.8.

In the settings tab there are some additional fields: delay, daemon location, device & drive.

I understand what delay is for. But why the Daemon location & daemon parameters?

Does the PowerDVD agent now automatically mount? Or does it support mounting as part of it's command set? If so what command is that? Can we get the Wiki updated or I can update it if someone can answer my questions.

Thanks

If you install daemon tools the PowerDVD agent will automatically mount and dismount your iso images.

Excellent stuff.

What's the command for this? I assume the PLAYFILE has been modified. Do we simply specify the ISO file as the filename?
