Let me add to the above; After a reboot and restart of MLS, the new registration now says that the license is invalid. I now apparently need both a new license and activaton ID. I am still not convinced that there is not somthing wrong with the plug-in that started the issue.
Thanks!

I get exactly the same log.

The plugin says it has 30 days left but in the log it says it is expired and I get all the subscript out of range entries.

Dave or Smooth

- could you please look at this when you get a chance. I made the commitment about 8 weeks ago to go with MLMenu and the Lodge interface. Nearly all is now completed and rolled out into my home. I am totally down due to the expiration problem with thie plug-in. there is somthing in the plug-in that must have the expiration date hard coded. The license update that I received today is invalid. MLS thinks that i have 58 days left, but in actuality, the plug-in has shut down.
Thanks!

OK - Next question;

I have set up Menu1 as my Main Menu for most scenes. I am going to use menu 2 for my DVD scenes; Menu 3 for my iTunes scenes; Menu 4 for my administration scenes.

I need an oppinion on the logic of using multiple menus as opposed to just making more child levels under the main menu. It almost seems to me that the best approach would be to keep as much under one menu as you can.

Thoughts?
Thanks!

I am using one big menu. It seems to work the best and be the easiest to track and change. The only seperate menu that I use is for DVDLobbyMCE web implementation that I am using.

Tracy;
How do you handle a different quantity of buttons on a menu? In one of my sub-menu's I need lmore buttons that on the main menu. Am I missing somthing, or is this a case where I need to use the next menu number.
Thanks!

I think you should be fine, just set the main buttons to largest size you need. I think everything else should work fine.

Tracy; I am attempting to implement a modified version of the Lodge menu structure. I need to implement "scroll" arrows at the right of the toolbar buttons. Back wiorks great. What about Next? Lets say I have 8 buttons designed and show only 6 on the botton bar. What command do I use to scroll the command buttons.

There is not a scroll command at this point. I can look at adding one, but it may be a little while before I can get to it. You may be able to fake it by using a second menu.

I will play around with the settings and structure, but I may be able to add a second level menu and use the GOTO~MENU_ID~GOTO_LEVEL~ButtonID command. The problem will be keeping the button numbers correct in the nav menu template. Maybe this is where Menu2 comes in. The forward button calls menu 2 and it's structure. The back button returns you to level 1. That becomes an issue, as you may want to return to a menu2 level.

Somthing like

Control (level1/B1)
Weather
Media
Environment
..............Internet (level2/B1)
..............Email
..............Stocks
..............Administration
..............Thermostat
..............Ceiling Fans
..............Shades

Maybe I just set it up like this;

Control (level1/B1)
Weather
Media
Environment
< (Back)
> (Next) (next would simply have a sub-level with
..............Internet
..............Email
..............Stocks
..............Administration
Thanks!

Use MLMENU|HOME~MENU# or Alias

This should send the menu home and load the correct scene.

Tracy; Not to get back to an old subject, but "Home"still does not work. Either the scene does not return, the menu gets stranded or both. Should I have implemented this command with "Clientname"?? I think it is a command routing issue.

This button command does not work;

mlmenu|home~{{mlmenu_{{clientname}}_menu_1_menu_id}} (as per the WIKI)

The scene returns home, but the menu gets stranded.

I can tell you, this driver needs to get better if the main stream is going to use it. It gets very confusing when the menu level gets out of synch with the scene. It is almot harder to program within MLMenu then to have seperate scenes.
Thanks!
