MLCalendar Sync with Outlook

Postby sonypoolplr » Tue May 27, 2008 6:48 am

I haven't tried the latest release yet, so maybe after I do this question won't be needed, but my Outlook calendar is on my laptop, which isn't always connected to MLServer. Can I have the two just sync either when I am connected to MLServer (maybe with an automation rule or something), or can I just manually update it whenever I change my calendar?

Thanks.

Your laptop would have the "MLOutlook Addin" installed on it that ties to Outlook and sends Outlook's data to the MLServer Outlook plugins (MLPhonebook, MLCalendar, MLEmail). You can synch the two whenever your laptop is attached to the network.

Note that multiple calendar's are supported.

Try it!

A real nice feature that Tracy added is that Outlook will automatically update MLCalendar on MLServer whenever you exit Outlook. We have 4 of us using this plugin and I know my family would never remember to sync their calendars and the timed update wouldn't find many of the PC's on. So this takes care of it.

Rick,
Thanks. That makes this even more appealing. I am the only one using the calendar now, and I would probably forget at times to update it, and not having to teach the family to update it is wonderful.

Thanks again for that information.
