MLDMR - inoperable for advanced functions?

Postby Pinnace0 » Wed Jul 02, 2008 9:56 pm

DaveL,

These files seem to be missing from my Cinemar installation....

DVDFilter.states
DVDFolders.states
DVDSortBy.states

These files are a prerequsite to getting my Lodge screens (Library 26) files up and running. Have they been removed from the installation?

None of those CycleStates should be required any longer.

If you look at the advanced scenes that ship if MainLobby you'll find examples of all the supported commands. Those commands have already been incorporated into the Lodge scenes.

Using Library 19, I was able to get most of the advanced screens to work. I am still having a problem though with the "process movie" button. This button is in screen DMR_Movies.Catalog.Local.MLS.

The button has the following command:

Sys.{{clientname}}|Send~{{catalog_postprocessor}}~{{catalog_processdrive}}~{{catalog_libraryfolder}}\{{catalog_title}}

I am expecting the command to launch DVDFAB (via mlclientsvc) and copy the movie to my hard drive. This does not happen. I am guessing Mlclientsvc needs an alias?

A snippet of the log from ml server is ahown below

Here is the code I use. Works perfectly.

Button "Backup Movie" starts the scan of the DVD in a Drive. Drone1 is the name of the PC where the backup is going to happen from and
\\Drone1\Theatre\Video_TS is the name of the DVD drive where the disc is located.

Macro|
SetVariable|catalog_currenttitle~!
SetVariable|catalog_titleindex~!
SetVariable|catalog_totaltitles~!
SetVariable|catalog_moviefound~0!
SetVariable|catalog_progress_drone1~0!
SetVariable|{{clientname}}_backup_movie_zone~Drone1!
MLCmd|ChangeScene~{{clientname}}~754_media_movies_catalog.mls!
SetVariable|catalog_scanfolder~\\Drone1\Theatre\Video_TS!
MLDVDLobby|Catalog_Clear!
MLDVDLobby|Catalog_Direct~{{catalog_scanfolder}}

The actual backup
Sys.{{{{clientname}}_backup_movie_zone}}|Send~DVDFab~D:\~{{catalog_libraryfolder}}{{catalog_title}}

Thanks Kevind,

I can follow most of what your macro is doing...

I tried to get your macro to work last nite. Did not quite get there. I am sure it is my error and will try again today.

This is a really a basic question

Is there an alias required to get a Mlclientsvc command to work. I am trying get either Cinemar's or Kevind's DVDFAB approach to work and the process seems to stop and indicates a missing alias?

Yes there is an alias required for MLClientSvc. The alias will point to the ClientSvc.exe running on the local or remote PC.

Seems fine. It says Connected so all is good.

What is the syntax of the command you are sending? Does it reference the CS1 alias?

Here is the basic Cinemar commands

Sys.{{clientname}}|Send~{{catalog_postprocessor}}~{{catalog_processdrive}}~{{catalog_libraryfolder}}\{{catalog_title}}

This is a stock cinemar line that comes from DMR_Movies.catalog.local.mls
from the "process movie" button

Addtionally here is the line that is in Main Lobby Client Service

C:\Program Files\DVDFab HD Decrypter 4\DVDFabHDDecrypter.exe /SRC "<<P1>>" /DEST "<<P2>>\VIDEO_TS" /START /CLOSE

This line is in a box titled "program to execute". This is also a stock Cinemar command

Are these still current?

I also tried a method from Kevind (see above) both methods resulted in an alias error.

Craig

in the client SVC program on the PC doing the actual backup there is an Alias Field under the "Setup" tab. In my case it's "DVDFab"

This references the line

Sys.{{{{clientname}}_backup_movie_zone}}|Send~DVDFab~D:\~{{catalog_libraryfolder}}{{catalog_title}}

One other thing. Check your actual path to DVDFab. As usual the software company has changed their latest version to DVDFAb 5

C:\Program Files\DVDFab HD Decrypter 5\DVDFabHDDecrypter.exe /SRC "<<P1>>" /DEST "<<P2>>\VIDEO_TS" /START /CLOSE

Why the heck they do this is beyond me...what ever happened to standardization...sheesh. At any rate this system works perfectly..you just have to get all the syntaxs correct.

Also, the new DVDFab version requires you to purchase it because the free version pops up a splash screen now. Again..typical. That being said it is cheap.

I bought DVDFAB to avoid the splash screen Kevind described, and stayed up way too late trying to get Kevind's approach to work. I must be getting close as I am now trigerring a response from MLclientsvc. I will try again this evening.

:?: DaveL - on the Cinemar approach from Library 19 you mentioned an alias is required. On a default install what would the alias be? CS1?
