Guys,

Just sent you an email with an order link. We can distribute the completed plugin but just haven't finished making the order page for it online.

Predesigned scenes are included with MainLobby 3: 0019_iport.mls

Will MLiPod work with any other docks beside the iPort? I have nothing against the iPort it is just really expensive. I have to assume that the iPod uses standard serial commands and the iPort just gives the means to connect the serial info. I am assuming that the plugin would work with any ipod serial connection since the commands are standard.

I have not seen other docks with serial but there are some homebrew solutions out there.

indecision,
today, we only have support for the iPort. Others are in development.
Yes, it's expensive, but it's what many of our dealers demanded as the markets they are catering to with MainLobby is the high end market where the iPort cost is almost inconsequental.
When we are replacing Crestron in those bids, there's lots of money available to do iPorts ;)

I got to tell you, this is the absolutely best iPod solution I have ever seen. Wow - hats off to you all. I had it working in 5 minutes. Perfect. Simple.

Anyone out there that needs iPod integration stop looking. I found an FS4 for about $450 from Electronicsmaven.com. Add this new plugin and you have a perfect solution!

Been working with this for a few hours and it is still is great! I do have a few issues and a suggestion:

Suggestion: Please setup an iPort forum

Issue #1: If I select "Sort Results Alphanumerically" on the results per page settings tab on ML Server, my playlists no longer hold their associated songs. Every playlist I setup on my iPod becomes my entire music selection once selected. Once I turned this off (uncheck the checkbox), my playlists worked again but the skip to letter feature doesn't work when it isn't sorted...

Issue #2: If I toggle the iPod UI button on the scene I have to restart ML Server because the iPod never docks. After the toggle, the log continues to say "Undocked" until I restart ML Server - when I do restart, it is OK again. What is strange is that the scene logo is green indicating that it is docked (it isn't red) even before I restart.

Issue #3: Any way to show the album art? I think this was discussed prior but I was wondering if this is a posibility.

Thanks again,

album art will be a later addon when the Media Management utilities are finished.
