I will remote into your PC to have a look. I am first adding some extensive error checking and logging so that it will help in finding the issue.

Find out anything? The plugin is now useless because I can't select any playlists...

I reverted back to 132 - the latest version broke everything - I can't get past the top level menu - whenever I go to a playlist everything is blank, it displays nothing. At least 132 works for a day or so - I still have to restart the plugin every few days or so...

This is bizarre. I have iPod 132 installed and controller 324 installed - I thought I reverted back to the prior version but regardless, it is working very well for now - maybe the controller 326 is the issue as I never got this far with 132/326.

I removed everything when I installed the latest - the database was deleted and I setup the iPort. Maybe someone else can chime in if they get the same results. Bottom line is 132/326 would go no further than the top menu - any drill downs would be blank.

The only problem I have with my current install combo (132/324) now is when I restart MLS the com port and "on start" checkbox are blank and I have to fill them in. Is the data scheme for 132 not compatible with 324? Sounds like the mdb is not compatible between the 2 versions?

I completely wiped iPort off the system, restarted, launched MLS and no iPort - I then downloaded a fresh copy and installed - restarted. I am running 132/326

Same problem I have been having - when I go to the control tab, I see the main menu - when I drill into Playlists, it is empty.

When I revert back to 132/324, I get farther and it works for a while - this morning it locked up so it only works for several hours. When I say locked up, I have to unload the plugin, load it and it works for a few more hours.

Let me know if you want to login - I am reverting back because at least in the previous version, I can start a playlist right after I restart the plugin and let it play in a repeat loop.

Any updated status?

I'd like to try as soon as it is working.

Thanks,
Regards,

John

I reverted back to the old version which still doesn't work but at least I can start a playlist after I restart ML. If someone has different results with the new version I would like to know - I have rebuilt my iPod 3 times with the new version and did clean installs and still cannot get to playlists (empty list) - also, none of the ML variables update in the new version.

Aargh, this has been going on for way too long.

I need a working update this week.

Postby jpimentel » Tue Jun 30, 2009 12:29 pm

Hi Guys,

I am out of time here. My clients using this plugin are so frustrated they are ready to pull the plug on all things Cinemar. For me this will be the end if the line. Reading between the lines, I won't be able buy any more ML products, if I am out of business.

Thanks.
Regards,

John

Jumping on the bandwagon - is there anything I can do to help? If I got the source code, maybe I can work on it...

I love this solution but it doesn't work and I already got about $1k into it...

The plugin is being rewritten. I am 90% done with the re-write. I am also working on 97 other fires but this is the one that is burning the hottest.

No not yet- The new version you see is for testing by another user. I'll post a message when it's ok for everyone to have a go at it.
