Now dead...

Postby rileydog » Sun Jun 24, 2007 8:52 pm

Well, I can't get it to work at all...

I gave up with the dock/redock thing - I couldn't get that to work. So, I took an older iPod and left it in the iPort dock (never remove it). That seemed to work for some time.

Now, I can't get it to work at all.

In the iPort controller from the plugin on the server, I see the menu and it connects OK to the iPort (I see the log that I get send and receive commands) - but, when I 2xclick on any main menu item (Playlists, Artists, etc.), the list is completely blank - nothing displays. When I click the menu button, I get the main menu items again (Playlists, etc.).

I tried clicking the > (play) button and it changes to pause but nothing plays...

Any ideas would be great...

Did you upgrade the firmware on the ipods to the very latest?

I formatted the iPod and reinstalled the latest firmware and re-sync'ed the songs. It now appears to be working! I hope so - I suppose time will tell. Thanks.
