it's not working....

Postby pasha » Fri Jan 26, 2007 1:51 pm

Great start, but it's not working and looks like it sends wrong command set.... as option L is not allways accept value 2 in it... my device takes only L0 and L1...

so far I found that the best result is to skip L at all
i.e. you can send CO#I#T and it works

What Autopatch Device are you using? So far it has only been tested on the Half-Y.

That looks like the same one that I have. What command should I be sending for your model?

just bypass L# and it will work
looks like my accepting only L0 and L1 and not L2...9

CO#I#T will work on any according to they DOC

and if your model supports L2...L9 it will replace it with existing values by iteself...
BTW what other errors I got? any clue?

I may be confused, but I thought the L0 and L1 pertained to audio and video.

What is the appropriate status command? I am currently using SL1O#T

I can make the change pretty quickly once I know which status command to use.

thanks

Gmm..., I'm confused as well... let me check

BTW I think other issues has something to do with flow control....
as I can see from Doc that 9600 8,1 no flow control... and that's how my cable looks like null modem TR, RX and GND... where messages about buffer overflow comming from? any idea? I think you configuring port with flow control and your cable has pins connected on PC side...

It isnt really an error, just a programmers note I mistakely left in the code. See if the new version works better for you.

did more testing and found 1 more problem

for some reason during selection of the input you sending i-1 i.e. for input 1 you sending I0 which is incorrect... at least my unit does not accept I0 it takes exactly as they numbered i.e. I1 for input 1 I2 for input 2...
and seams like there is no way to select input 8 using this plugin...

here is example:

Code: Select all

Sending command for CO2I0T -  via COM: 1
Buffer partially filled - Waiting for additional data
Buffer partially filled - Waiting for additional data

This one looks much better

Code: Select all

Error 13(Type mismatch) @ Line 160 in procedure ProcessCommands of modSharedCode
Error 341(Invalid control array index) @ Line 170 in procedure ProcessCommands of modSharedCode
Loaded all startup variables
Buffer partially filled - Waiting for additional data
Sending command for CO2I1T -  via COM: 1

Any comments on error messages are they normal? and what about buffer warnings??

Can you turn on the logging and see what command is being processed prior to the error? The device must be sending back a different command after I changed the status command.

The buffer warnings are pretty normal with this device.

thanks for debugging.
