this happens about every 6-10 hours

Can you give a little more information about the com port? Is it serial board, usb, etc?

ChrisB,

The message appears that the plugin is having to attempt to reconnect to the device. Possibly due to the device disconnecting for some reason (wiring, hardware issue, etc)
90CE looked at the code, and added that the plugin will disconnect from the com before connecting again, if the device appears not responsive. Keep you older version and test the latest posted one.

Please advise on how it is working.

mysteriously have not seen the error in past 18 hours.

one of 8 ports on a digi port server

ip connected

none of the other ports erroredl in ml (all are dedicated to ml)

just updated as instructed.
