Other Error 7

Postby jstaab » Tue Feb 12, 2008 11:59 pm

I have an error that I can't pin down. The plug-in works fine initially, but starts reporting the error 'Other Error 7" and seems to report this for every event that occurs? Anyone know what it means??

It means that the device is sending a End Of File (ASCII character 26) character. It should not cause any issues, it is just meant to help debug strings that are coming back from the device. I should stop reporting when you turn off logging.

If you can send me the device documentation I will take a look and see if any thing can be done about it.

Actually it is an Onkyo and it does indeed send an EOF character as the last character and that is what I have defined for the command terminator for the device.
