I'm a little put off by this new plug-in despite the fact that the concept intrigues me. It's because I already have all my RS-232 devices working with MLGenericSerial and the cost is per device.
But then I was thinking, the per device cost would be very worth it, if I didn't have to program the plug-in myself. But how can I expect Cinemar to possibly supply plug-ins for every device?
So I thought of a good compromise, that I think would be great.
If someone is willing to contribute a MLGenericDevice device specific configuration that would meet Cinimar's standards (complete, tested etc) they would be entitled to one free device license (or discounted).
This way everyone would be motivated to reconfigure their RS-232 devices for the new plug-in and Cinemar would be able to build the list of pre-configured devices MLGenericDevice supports.
Thanks for listening.
A plugin that allows for end user development of multiple RS232 device control systems.
