Q1 error for client installation TABCTL32.0CX

Postby pacman » Wed Nov 08, 2006 1:17 am

Hi

I recieved this error while trying to setup the MLWMI on a Q1 as a client.

Component TABCTL32.0CX or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

Any ideas what to do??

try doing the install again. that file should be in the installer. It installs to System32 directory.

I have installed the MLWMI client on a computer I wish to monitor and am receiving the same error:

Code: Select all

Component TABCTL32.0CX or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

The file is missing from the System32 folder. The other PC I have the client installed on shows version is 3.0.51.

Did you download and install again? version stays the same. Just the installer was modified to include that file.

Just installed wmi on a new client and the following files were not installed to System32:

tabctl32.ocx
mscomctl.ocx
mswinsck.ocx

Copied the above files from other installation and solved startup failure.

MLWMI Client 3.0.51
ML 3.00.75
MLS 3.0.250
