Dave;

I know you are busy to say the least. The ON/OFF thing was resolved with a restart. I have no clue what was up.....

The BUTTON command seems to be bad in the most current TCP version.

I will continue testing and will let you know of other issues.
Thanks!

Dave,
Today I changed my Omnipro II chip to the 3.4 version. So far, so good. Up and running for the past 4hrs without a problem. I had the 3.2b chip and I suspect this could have been the culprit that was crashing and stalling the MLHAI Agent. Hope this takes care of the problem. I will evaluate whether or not the 3.2b version was the root of the problem, I'll report back in a few days. Thank you for all your help and patience.

That will be interesting, since I am running 3.2 (not the "b" version) without issue. I have had issue with HAI sub-or interim versions prior.

Lets hope for the best. Mine has been real solid other than the issue above that hit me out of the blue.
Thanks!

Dave,
I think we have it. Since I've updated from the 3.2b version to the 3.4 version, it runs flawlessly. I've had it up for over 30hrs without a problem. Thanks for your help.

Perfect!

Now you can start linking all of your scene objects to utilize the HAI panel to its potential. I use my HAI panel for control of everything with the exception of media management, and use Cinemar as a GUI extension of the panel.
Thanks!

Dave;
I have an issue with the agent that is getting worse. After the system has been running for a day or so, and the agent is minimized to the tray, I can not maximize the agent window. See the screen shot. This is what comes up. I can not re-size it or do anything else but minimize it. The only way to resolve is to close the agent and restart. This is purely a GUI issue with nothing to do with connectivity. My server is running Server 2008 with the latest service pack. All other agents that are running work fine.

Dave;
I do not know what was done different in the current release and driver, but I dove into the deep end anyway, which I should learn not to do unless I know what changes were made.

The problem; Twice in 4 days my panel stopped responding to commands. The agent still thinks it is on line, but the panel gives no response. I finally noticed it when I tried to turn a light on. A simple agent restart solved the issue, but this has literally been rock solid for months. Can you please take a look when you have a chance? (and take a look at the one above when you have a chance at that is still an issue)

Thanks!

Dave; The latest version of HAI agent restarts randomly. I noticed it sometime this week. It always restarts without issue. I finally caught the error as below:

The latest version of the Agent has code in it that when it sees that it has lost communication with the panel or has lost connection to the HAI.dll it will restart itself. This is probably what you are seeing. This was done in response to another customer issue where the HAI.dll was constantly losing connection to the panel and not restoring it. The only way to fix the problem was to unload the hai.dll by restarting the agent.

Ah, so it is a feature! That is good. It seems to happen when my processor is at 100% which typically happens when weather lobby is downloading an update. The loss of communication was probably happening and I just did not know it.

Thanks
Thanks!

My MLHAI Agent continously crashes and then restarts. See attached jpeg. This is a fresh install and was an issue I was having prior to rebuilding the entire system now that the system is clean I'm not sure what could be causing the continous crashes. Dave can you please take a look?

I uninstalled and reinstall both the MLHAI plugin and the Agent. This time I started the agent with out starting MLSever and the Agent crashes all on its own. See the jpeg where I show the crashing agent without MLServer running.

Attaching the log file. The agent appears to be losing the connection to the panel and then attempting to reconnect causing a few unhandled events and then the agent crashes. It is pretty consistant now. Crashes each time a start the agent although the crash occurs at different times each time but always after an attempt to reconnect to the panel.

The hai.dll is crashing trying to talk to the panel and that in turn is crashing the agent. See if you can uncheck the "Initialize Agent" check box and save the change before the agent crashes. Then restart the agent and see if it successfully connects without doing its polling. What firmware is your hai panel running?
