Trouble finding voices

Postby AndreMan » Fri Dec 26, 2008 3:06 am

Hi, just wondering if people are able to find SAPI5 voices for use with MLSpeak these days.

My search keeps bringing me to sites that claim I have to purchase their engine software or that the voices will only work with their software and are not "open" versions.

Can anyone direct me to a source for just Neospeech or any voices only, iwthout havign to buy other software?

Thanks,

Andre

THanks for supplying those at least.

I was hoping to find some better quality voices but I'll keep searching as well.

In the meantime, I'm playing with these ones but for some reason, after the install, I see them in the drop down list from within my "text to speech" set up via Control Panel but can only select, Anna, which is the only one that also has a language after her name, English US.

If I try to select either Mary or Mike, I get a message saying they can't be played and to check the output device. For now, i'm just using the stereo speaker output attached to my PC and this is the default which plays fine for Anna.

Any thoughts anyone?

Thanks, Andre
