Tie CallerID into other plugins

MLNetCallerID supports the NetCallerID hardware and sends CallerID data to MLCallerID plugin. MLCallerID3 uses a database to store your call data. MLPhoneBook is a MainLobby view to your Outlook contacts list. MLPhoneDialer allows for dialing of a phone number for you.

Tie CallerID into other plugins

Postby Mudslide03 » Fri Oct 27, 2006 12:03 pm

Does anyone have any code they would like to share to tie ML NetCallerID into other mls scenes? I currently have callerID working but have to keep the callerID screen up. I would like it to display only when a call comes in.

If anyone is doing this and would like to share with the rest of us it would be appreciated.

If you want the scene to change when a call come in, that is relatively easy. Just put a MLServeCmd.ChangeScene in the Macro in your MLCallerID plugin. You'll have to get the syntax working for this, but there are examples you can pull from in the Cheat Sheet (sticky at the top of the MLServer plugins forum thread).
For clarity of nomenclature, you are not talking about MLNetCallerID, You are talking about MLCallerID. MLNetCallerID just sends the data to MLCallerID.

albright_family just posted a cool CallerID popup... reminiscent of the old one, actually.

albright's looks great. Both the popup and the caller ID integrated into the scene.

Pull down "Current ML Scenes" from my sig and open k3OverlayCallerIDIncoming.mls.

That should do it.

Greg, ok, go it. that is what I am looking to add to my setup. Now to find the commands/scripts to write to get that popup to come on when a call comes in. I assume I can write something to have it disappear after "X" amount of time.

Thanks.

Yeah, I have the caller ID open it and start a MLTimer, which closes it when it expires.
