MLCallerID|clear

MLNetCallerID supports the NetCallerID hardware and sends CallerID data to MLCallerID plugin. MLCallerID3 uses a database to store your call data. MLPhoneBook is a MainLobby view to your Outlook contacts list. MLPhoneDialer allows for dialing of a phone number for you.

MLCallerID|clear

Postby greyt » Sat Oct 07, 2006 4:55 pm

I am assuming

MLServeCmd.MLCallerID|clear

is the command for clearing the log of incoming calls. Is this functional yet, if so it is not working for me.

I think what is meant here is that the command clears the .mdb call log but does not clear the MLServer variables. So for instance, when you issue the MLServeCmd.MLCallerid|Clear command, the call log tab in the MLCallerID plugin does clear (i.e. the corresponding rows in the Access .mdb are deleted). Unfortunately however, this doesn't mean anything to the user because the Mainlobby 0019_Callerid.mls page still shows all calls in 'its log' as the MLServer variables themselves are not cleared/deleted.The fix that's needed is that when the .mdb is cleared, so should the MLServer variables be cleared so the display of the call log in the .mls actually updates!

Now that's a silly feature isn't it. It will be fixed in the next update.

Dave,

Are you any closer to an update on this one? It is a pain having to use MLserver to clear the call log down rather than a simple button press in Mainlobby. Thanks.

OK I have over 5000 call in the log that I would like to clear.

Besides running the clear on the server , what else do I need to do?

I just posted version 3.0.224 of MLCallerID and it supports a new command ClearLog

MLCallerID|ClearLog

I just did a quick test here and it worked for me. Give it a try and let me know if it works for you then I'll roll this into the general server release.

OK, i created a button in callerid screen in ml. Here is the command:

MLServeCmd.MLCallerID|ClearLog

Isnt that right? When I hit that button, nothing happens and my old calls and pics still show up.

what am i doing wrong? thanks.

I should say that my calls logged are ONLY from the test mode of the callerid plugin. I cannot get my netcallerID to do anything. I will post my questions in another thread where I need help to get it to work.

using that command in ml clears my log in the plug in but NOT on the callerid screen in ml. it still shows my calls (calls that ONLY show up when I do a "test" from the plugin, no real calls show up, i have my help question in another thread).

Isnt this the same issue others where having? Not clearing on the ml screen?

Does the following work on your callerID screen? :-

MLServeCmd.macro|MLCallerID|ClearLog!mlcallerID|next
