MLNetCallerID Plugin / MLCallerID3

MLNetCallerID supports the NetCallerID hardware and sends CallerID data to MLCallerID plugin. MLCallerID3 uses a database to store your call data. MLPhoneBook is a MainLobby view to your Outlook contacts list. MLPhoneDialer allows for dialing of a phone number for you.

I keep forgetting about the app level DNS servers. Too much time in IT kind of skews your view to servers instead of apps.

Good thing there's still some of us inexperienced non-professionals out here! Some of us fools still believe that a "server" is any device used for "serving" functions.

I, for one, can't seem to grasp the difference between the perfectly, tightly integrated, simple-to-use various serving functions of a modern pre-packaged "server" and any other collection of tools or "apps" that perform the same collective final functions but might be easier to use but don't come pre-packaged. Non-IT guy, I guess.

The link in the BETA part of the first post of this message appears to still be downloading and installing the Nov 16th version NOT the new one.

Its off b'cos the installer program runs and says it is installing ver 2.5 but it is not installing that one I think........

Hmm, just double checked, seems to work fine for me. I republished it just in case. Make sure you are clicking on the link in the beta directory, not prod as prod is still the same as last month.

I might have spoken too soon.

I did download from the Beta link FYI.

In MLS Plugin area it still shows as version .214

In My plugin file directory on ML server it is showing file date of the DLL as 11/11/2006. NOTE I had deleted the DLL prior to this install.

Should the Beta plugin be showing as .214 still?

Ah, the update was for MLNETCallerID, no MLCallerID (which is at v 218 now).

OK I downloaded and installed NetCallerid version 3.0.5

It is not registering when a call comes in.

I am on CalerID version 3.0.214

You mentioned there is a .218.

Do I need that ??? How can I get it if so?

Thanks

In MLServer later versions, click on Help / Additional software downloads. You will see a MLCallerID plugin only update (not Full Install)
Do you have / are you using a NetCallerID hardware? Essential for the MLNetCallerID.
You also have to configure both MLNetCallerID for the comport that it is connected to (and no other software is using same com port) and the MLCallerID to accept MLNetCallerID as the source.

Smooth..... Yes I have netcallerid hardware.

Evereything was working fine before I just upgraded the netcaller plugin today.

Setting in Net caller ID are correct (Com4 for me) and Callerid still say to use netcaller as port.

And...... Yes I know about using the additional software downloads form the help menu.

The version in there is showing as .214

Do I need .218 and if so how do I get it?

Thx

Says 218 for me. Try again and look closer.

Not sure what the issue is. try 218 and see if that makes any diff, though it should not.

Are you using Homeseer w/ Homeseer phone? Anything else attempting to connect to that comport?

FYI - it is under the drivers section as .218

Under the beta is the .214

I kept going to the beta.

Anyway _ im connecting with Netcallerid .150 and callerid .218

Seems to be working

Thx
