How do you display UK numbers correctly?

MLNetCallerID supports the NetCallerID hardware and sends CallerID data to MLCallerID plugin. MLCallerID3 uses a database to store your call data. MLPhoneBook is a MainLobby view to your Outlook contacts list. MLPhoneDialer allows for dialing of a phone number for you.

How do you display UK numbers correctly?

Postby freak69 » Fri Jan 16, 2009 1:08 pm

HI,

I have MLCallerID working correctly via homeseer (as I couldnt get the MLCallerID to update its variables - as per the other thread). I am using yacseer and mlhsplugin. The problem is that MLCallerID is always adding my number in a US format. If for example if I run

MLServeCmd.MLCallerID|SendCID:paul~07123987654 it appears as
0-712-398-7658
My format option is set as @@@@@ @@@@@@ yet this seems to be ignored.

Could some kind soul help me with this?

Try version 3.0.233 of the CallerID plugin and let me know how it works.

Thanks for that - seems to work much better now. Format is correct for all but the 020 numbers now.

If only there was some way of having a userdefinied variable format based on the first few digits of the number. My format of @@@@@ @@@@@@ looks great for all but the 020X UK numbers. I guess thats a but more than a simple tweak though.

that's the big issue here. there are too many rules for formatting phone numbers but only one place for defining the format. That area is going to have to be reworked to allow for more rule definitions.
