Is there not a 30 day trial option with MLPhoneDialer? Tried downloading from ML Installer but said I need to get it from Cinemar's Registered User's Website.

Are you still considering adding Vonage? I would be greatly interested in a Vonage interface.

I believe it is downloadable via MLInstaller for 30 day trial.

Check it out!

Thanks Smooth,

The plugin is not located in the driver's section of MLInstaller but in the beta and its says as noted above,

Tried downloading from ML Installer but said I need to get it from Cinemar's Registered User's Website.

This usually means you have to purchase first before it shows up in the Registered User's website, ie. GuiGraphics.

Thanks,
Rick

My log says I have been using MLPhoneDialer for 135 days? Is there any way to get a fresh copy so I could try it?

Thanks,
Rick

You might have installed MLPhoneDialer in the past (135 days ago). That set the trial period. Unfortunately the trial cannot be reset.

I think I had downloaded it when there was nothing in the download. Too bad. I'll wait until someone else gives it a test drive. Hopefully they'll report back.

Downloading doesn't set the begining of the trial period. Installing it does.

This plugin doesn't do a "whole lot" of functions, but some key ones.

My guess is that any issues found in testing is going to be specific to a certain modem.

You might want to install MLServer / MLPhoneDialer on a second PC (both then in 30 day trial) to give it a shot and understand what it does.

That's exactly what I did but there was nothing in the plugin meaning if you right-clicked the plugin it did nothing, no settings, etc. No variables were created.

The wiki is a little light on detail. Does it create variables? Can the plugin sense the state of the modem? Can it distinguish between on-hook v. off-hook? Dial tone v. ringing v. connected similar to fax modem software?

If it dials a number without knowing the status of the modem I can't imagine how that would be useful to MLServer.

Thanks,
Rick

i'd think at minimum it would need a com port and basic modem settings...area code , dial 9, wait for dial tone, etc
