800x480 Scenes for UMPC

Postby T.Wells » Mon Mar 24, 2008 1:53 pm

Hello,

The new scenes included in the ML Client are wonderful. Are there any plans to update those found within the 800x480 folder?

The new features in DVDLobby 3.75 may make using DVDLobby on a UMPC much easier. In the past, I've stuck with larger, 4:3 touchscreens in an attempt to make viewing DVDLobby easier on the eyes. The new filters will now allow folks to find and pick movies much easier as there is less reliance on the number of thumbnails displayed on the screen.

Thanks for the updates,
T.Wells

T. Wells,

Thanks for the reminder. We had some 800x480 DVDLobby 3.75 movie scenes built.

We'll include them in the next release, but I've attached them here.

MLInstaller will be your new best friend.

From MLServer 3, select HELP > ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE DOWNLOADS.

MLDMR and DVDLobby 3.75

Postby sfreiman » Sat Sep 27, 2008 10:16 am

Does the new MLDMR and DVDLobby 3.75 combo work with (3) Sony '875 Changers? It only mentioned the '777.

Since the 875 changer does not have a serial interface DVDLobby / MLDMR cannot be used to automatically catalog the changer. There is no mechanism in place to provide the data. DVDLobby can be used to playback movies from the changers provided you have some IR control in MLServer like from the GC100 or USBIR6 plugins.

Sorry, I meant to mention that I control the changers now with the old DVDLobby via a Slink-e.

Can the new DVDLobby/MLDMR be used to manually look up and populate the database and control these changers like my old DVDLobby version?

No. The non 777 changers don't expose the data. Slinke or otherwise.

Yes - you can still manually look up movies like the old version. The search results are better through AMG.
You also can lookup movies from the Client interface with the MLDMR plugin.

Thank you Mario. That answered my question. Phew! I was worried. As much as I like the '777 and the new changers coming out, My 3 '875s work just fine and I'd hate to have to replace them "just because"

So just to clarify before I upgrade, 3.75 can be still be used with my Slinke to control my Sony '875 changers, I will just need to run my movie lookups manually, correct? It will maintain my current movie data, correct?
